Q. Can I apply for a loan with The Village Bank online?
A. Yes, you can apply for a mortgage or consumer loan online. At this time, we do not have an online personal loan application. Click here to apply for a mortgage.
Q. Can I order new checks online?
A. If it is your first order of checks, you will need to either stop by any office, call our Customer Care Center at (617) 969-4300 or send us a secure message within Village Online Banking. If you would like to order checks, log into Village Online Banking and click on More, then Order Checks.
Q. How can I submit a “Stop Payment”?
A. Village Bank customers can submit a stop payment order through Village Online Banking, by calling our Customer Care Center at (617) 969-4300, or by visiting any of our branch locations during normal business hours.
Q. Does The Village Bank offer an Overdraft Protection Plan?
A. No, however, we offer a product called Village Reserve Line of Credit (LOC) to our customers that can act as an overdraft protection for a checking account. The LOC is linked to your checking account, and the line is accessed when your account no longer has money in it. The only charge for this product is the interest on the outstanding balance of your LOC. The LOC can be applied for with a loan application and is submitted for loan approval. This process can take up to 72 hours, and once approved, it will be attached to your checking account. We offer this product for personal and business checking accounts.
