Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, has announced the hiring of two new employees:
Gernette Wright has joined the Bank as assistant vice president, information security officer. In this role, he will oversee the design, implementation, and sustainment of the Bank’s cybersecurity programs and initiatives. He brings more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of information technology with expertise in IT security and infrastructure management. Prior to joining The Village Bank, he served as senior manager of IT infrastructure and security operations for CIRCOR International in Burlington. He holds security certifications from ISC2, ISACA, & EC-Council in CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, & C|CISO. He is a graduate of Stockton University in New Jersey, holds a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from the Van Loan School at Endicott College, and is currently working on an Executive Certificate in Management & Leadership from MIT Sloan’s School of Management.
Susan Lowell has joined The Village Bank as assistant vice president of residential lending. Susan has enjoyed a successful 25-year career in residential mortgage processing, servicing, and compliance and will be instrumental in helping the Bank provide a high level of service to its mortgage customers. Susan joined The Village Bank from USAlliance Federal Credit Union where she was responsible for providing performing service quality reviews and ensuring compliance requirements and secondary market guidelines are met. She studied business administration and has professional affiliations with the Mass Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA), National Credit Union Association (NCUA), and the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU).
